Ringing in 2014

I started out 2014 by putting 3.8 on the tach.  2013 ended at 118.6 hours so my resolution is to beat that this year.

The obligatory New Years Day selfie

Beautiful sunset tonight, and hardly a bump the whole flight.  Also I'm still pestered by that wonky left fuel gauge, so I took Kevin Walker's advice and bought myself a few extra Christmas presents.  I got the Aerospacelogic STC'd replacement digital fuel gauge, and for good measure I went ahead and ordered the Ammeter gauge too.  Why spend $600 to overhaul one circuit board when I can spend that and replace both with a more modern solid state unit?  Will be interesting to see how long it takes to install though!

  1. Jim Lewis at Airtronics has installed these and claims to have a trick to the calibration gymnastics.
